PDGFRB Protein, Rat, Recombinant (His Tag): Product Information
> 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
< 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rat PDGFRB-His at 10 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind Cynomolgus PDGFB (Cat:90030-C04H), The EC50 of Cynomolgus PDGFB (Cat:90030-C04H) is 3-7 ng/ml.
A DNA sequence encoding the rat PDGFRB (Q05030) (Met1-Lys530) was expressed, fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The recombinant rat PDGFRB comprises 510 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 57.6 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 92 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4 Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hard copy of CoA.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Stability & Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃ Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.

PDGFRB Background Information
The cluster of differentiation (CD) system is commonly used as cell markers in immunophynotyping. Different kinds of cells in the immune system can be identified through the surface CD molecules which associating with the immune function of the cell. There are more than 32 CD unique clusters and subclusters have been identified. Some of the CD molecules serve as receptors or ligands important to the cell through initiating a signal cascade which then alter the behavior of the cell. Some CD proteins do not take part in cell signal process but have other functions such as cell adhesion. CD14b, also known as PDGFRB, is a member of the CD system. CD14b is a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor essencial for development interacting with the platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) which serves as mitogens for mesenchymal cells. CD14b can bind with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-B, that are secreted by tumors and phosphorylation of PDGFR-β was correlated with depth of cancer invasion at statistically significant level.
